BoboVR M2 Battery Mount
thingiverse
The BoboVR M2 Halo headstrap is very comfortable for long wear. I created a Battery mount for it since I usually play around 4 hours when I'm using my Quest 2. I like the universal battery mounting system posted by kreanym October 21, 2020. I used his design to create this battery mount on the back of the M2. Credit to kreanym for this mounting system of which I included his mounting plate (part4.STL) in this post. DIY Quest 2 Elite Strap (soon with battery) by kreanym October 21, 2020 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4629958 I printed this with standard PLA. I used double-sided tape (command strips) to secure it to the back of the M2. During post prep of this system, I reduced the snugness and friction to my liking by filing the parts to round the edges and smooth the flat contact surfaces of the mounting plate. My experience using this has been without any design fatigue issues. I attach/remove the battery after the second day of using the Quest 2 headset. Update: I updated the mount to be shallower. I updated the battery plate to be shallower as well. The original plate still fits in the new design.
