Hello Guys, I recently attended the 3D Print exhibition in Eurexpo on June 5th and had a fantastic time. I highly recommend visiting it at least once to experience the excitement firsthand. During the event, I seized the opportunity to collect several filaments samples, but they came in closed plastic bags without any spool support. To address this issue, I conceived a unique spool design featuring two "half-spool" components that can be easily assembled. These half-spool units are specifically engineered to accommodate M8 thread rod and allow you to place your sample on one of them, followed by the second unit, and voila! You're ready to roll. I put this design to the test immediately after printing it, and I'm thrilled with the results. The bearings used in this project are 7004 reference angular contact bearings that I salvaged from a bin. However, any bearing with similar dimensions will work perfectly fine. I had the pleasure of meeting Joseph Prusa himself at the exhibition, where we discussed various topics related to 3D printing. I hope this innovative spool design proves useful for some of you out there. Happy printing! Best regards
