Bobbing Jupiter 2
prusaprinters

This is a bobble-head Lost in Space Jupiter 2 model. This toy uses a 3D printed base and spring and has a recess in the base that will hold a 8mm magnet. The base is larger than normal, again due to the size of the model.

The Saucer is printed in 2 parts and they will need to be glued together. Supports are only needed for the top half and you can use minimal infill (10% is fine).

A tool to install the longer spring is included here, its use is recommended, but not required. The spring is unique to this toy as it has a reduced number of "coils" due to the diameter of the model.

This is based on two prints. First, the excellent Jupiter 2 model designed by mixtec (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1130396).

The second print is from the bobble head prints designed by 3d-printy (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5409630) that supplied the base and spring mechanism.

Enjoy!
Category: Mechanical Toys
