Bobbin holder & box
thingiverse
For holding bobbins of thread used to sew.\ Mostly for semi-large ones, atop easy access is available while ample space remains inside for more. Those with many small ones may want to also 3D-print some of these bobbin holders. Originally made as a present for Christmas, now designed for others too. The lid can be flipped upside down, spikes facing the box, and personalized engraving occurs there. Designed for 6mm material like plywood or acrylic, adapt the source for different thicknesses. The top requires no parts beyond what's already cut; tool-free assembly is possible. Lasercut required: 1 top, 1 bottom, spacers, 4+ tfasteners, 4+ wedges, 35+ spikes to choose from. A box made quick and optional was created, requiring glue for sides and even edges via checkerboard design; redesign the box without glue if you're skilled enough. For the adventurous maker: challenge yourself by making a better box that does not need glue or additional parts to be applied properly in a nice order on the final assembled object with your 3D printer, check out the project's official website now.
