Boba Fett Helmet Rear Keyhole Slots

thingiverse

This item forms the "keyhole" slots on the rear of a Boba Fett helmet. The Star Wars bounty hunter is everyone's favourite and there is a dedicated community of people creating his iconic helmet. I designed this object for a helmet I'm making using the awesome cardboard templates by "WizardofFlight" on the "thedentedhelmet.com" forums. The helmet in the photos was created using the "BF Helmet Templates A4.pdf" template. Two optional back panels are included, which attach to the main object with four pins but the idea is that these are glued in place. The back panel makes the helmet tighter to wear so experiment before permanently fixing it into your helmet. The "MQ1" back panel is a quick approximation of the circuit board from a Casio MQ-1 calculator, used in the actual film prop for both ESB and ROTJ. The two rounded pegs only appear in the ROTJ version and can be cut off if required. Print Settings: Printer Brand - RepRap, Printer - Fisher, Rafts - No, Supports - No, Resolution - 0.2mm, Infill - 5%, Notes - My printer struggled with the fine detail of the chip legs, but once painted this level of detail isn't important. How I Designed This: This object was created in FreeCAD.
