Bob's CNC E3 611 Upgrade Dust Shoe
thingiverse
I recently upgraded my old router from an E3 to a Dewalt 611 and was faced with a problem: my dust shoe no longer fit properly. To solve this issue, I created a two-part design that utilizes 8 x 2 mm magnets to securely connect the two components. The upper portion of the design slips snugly over the motor, featuring cutouts for the spindle lock and router mount screws. A notable detail is that the screws for the router mount must be installed with the screws pointing upwards and the nuts positioned on top of the mount. To support the hose connection of the upper portion, I employed a zip tie wrapped around the motor. Additionally, I connected a 2.5 inch dust collector hose to this section. The lower component utilizes a high-quality 70mm CNC vacuum brush that can be easily sourced from Amazon. This brush is secured in place with a few screws evenly distributed around its perimeter.
