Boating Stuff - Nightlight

To some of you, this nightlight may appear as though it was designed with another purpose in mind, but its intention is to be a simple hanging light source. It's a red lens that fits onto the ubiquitous cheap LED flashlight, which can usually be purchased for about $1. I created this design in order to preserve my night vision while cruising our boat at night. This project might also prove useful for camping trips. If you decide to print this model, I recommend scaling it to fit your specific flashlight. When I first printed the lens, I had to sand down the inside edge slightly in order to get a proper fit. I used clear red filament when creating my nightlight, but I believe that using clear filament with some added red magic marker might produce similar results. In fact, I plan on trying this method out soon and would appreciate any feedback from those who attempt it. Here is a design for a marker holder to facilitate the addition of color to your filament: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5570
