Boat (with Impeller) - spiral vase printable
thingiverse
Initially, this project was simply an exercise in boat design. Afterward, a friend's impeller, commonly used for a small truck, caught my attention. We then decided to test it in a small bowl. Another tip is to print the design using a spiral vase method for a smooth surface without layer change issues. The hull measures 1.5mm in thickness. Printing parameters include a layer height of 0.3mm and width of 0.6mm. If scaling down, adjust the width accordingly to maintain a gap between perimeters. To prevent any printing interruptions, ensure there's a gap between perimeters. Add a small base at the rear for extra brim, especially if you're printing without a heatbed. Use 6mm brim for stability. Lastly, be cautious when reaching the nose of the design and gradually reduce temperature and speed during the print process.
