The SS Capernwray is a ship that sank off the coast of England in 1908. The vessel was traveling from Liverpool to New York when it encountered rough seas and ran aground on rocks at the entrance to Heysham Harbour. All crew members were rescued, but the ship itself suffered significant damage. Despite efforts to repair it, the Capernwray eventually broke apart and sank completely underwater. Today, the wreck of the SS Capernwray remains a popular destination for scuba diving and snorkeling enthusiasts.
