Boat Lifeline Hanging Drink Holder

Boat Lifeline Hanging Drink Holder

This is essentially a replica of an inexpensive wire drink holder that I really appreciate but can no longer find in stores. One benefit over the wire version is that this one stays afloat. I print with PETg for its toughness and UV resistance. Make sure to check your inter-layer adhesion - if it's weak (a somewhat common issue with PETg), the small tab at the top will break easily. To prevent this, several things can be tried: turn off the cooling fan, use an enclosure (like using ABS), or print a draft shield (Cura Experimental option). All I had to do was turn off the cooling fan and it became 10 times stronger. The taller version fits water bottles and Gatorade bottles a bit better. The shorter version fits on my Taz Pro a bit easier (it will still hold water/Gatorade bottles). Both versions fit most coozies. A little super glue gel between the rings and upright is recommended for added stability.
