Boat Kill Switch Lock Replacement
thingiverse
A few weeks ago, my boat's kill switch plastic key broke, so I used my printer to create a replacement after several design iterations. The initial attempts faced issues with large bridges, which were fixed by adding slanted sides. Despite minor droop, the final piece fit perfectly on the kill switch. It took eight iterations to resolve problems like intersections and faces that slic3r didn't appreciate. Finally, in iteration 8, I figured out the problematic faces. The printed key is red ABS matching my boat's color, and a photo showcases the leash and sun-bleached broken original part.
