Boardgame Player Screen (medina)

I created a player screen for the Medina game pieces that can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:943076. The roof and walls utilize three magnets each, with a diameter of 0.8mm and a thickness of 1mm. While I really enjoy using magnetic attachments, you are more than welcome to modify it to include a peg or alternative method if you prefer. You won't need glue in order for them to stick properly - just apply an ABS slurry on top and once dry, the magnets will be secure underneath a thin layer of ABS. The hinges found on the walls are designed to print directly in place. However, if you're experiencing issues with the inner hinge not adhering well enough to the bed, consider printing it with a brim first. This will allow the lower layer to bond firmly to the bed and can be easily cut out later using an exacto knife (as shown in the underside shots before and after modification). The hinges on the roof are built to accommodate a 3 mm piece of printer filament. To achieve this, simply cut a piece of desired size and then use a hot knife melted from a candle to seal the ends securely in place. Alternatively, you can use small bolts or screws for this purpose. I have printed the screen successfully in both ABS and HIPS. If I were to recommend a printing material, it would be ABS due to its ease of use with fixative that contains acetone when dealing with splitting issues. For minimized splitting on the main wall, consider printing ABS at a high temperature (around 270 C for E-SUN brand) and turning off your cooling fan to enhance layer adhesion. In terms of dimensions, this player screen was specifically designed to fit within the bed of a Lulzbot Mini - approximately 6 inches square.
