Board Measuring Guide - Table saw
thingiverse
Measuring corner to corner to check the squareness of a board it is difficult to hold the rule on one corner whilst taking the measurement on the opposite corner. This guide aids this process. The rule is held perpendicular to the board, inline with the corner. Whilst holding the guide in place and the rule up against the guide you can take a measurement at the other end, knowing the rule has not moved. The guide can also be used to help measure the width and length of the board. This is important too, a couple of mm out over 500mm can make the difference. See diagrams, one shows what happens if the diagonals are not equal, but also if the sides are not parallel. Both cause the panel to be out of square and if both are out then the problem is compounded.I printed in PLA, but anything should work.Have fun!If you like/appreciate my design please consider making a small donation via Paypalhttps://paypal.me/kevangibbings
