Board Game Design TSA 2018-19

An old TSA competition project.I had fun making this. Thanks to everyone for their feedback while I was making it.The numbers in the sketch names are the numbers of tiles you would move from the start to the end of the line. You cannot move diagonally, 4 players can occupy the same space, it takes a turn to turn 90 degrees in either direction. You roll a dice to determine your number of turns. You must be facing a certain direction to move forward in that direction (you cannot strafe side to side or move backward without first turning your ship to face the appropriate direction). If you end your turn on a red line, your ship will travel to the tile containing the red arrowhead and face the same direction as the red arrow (at no additional turn cost). If you end your turn on a red arrowhead, your ship should be oriented to face the same direction as the arrowhead (at no additional turn cost). The Chance Chests give various benefits and boons, though it is not detailed in these files.Using 1d6 (one cubical 6-sided dice) for the dice.Effects included:+1 or +2 to your next 3 dice rolls. -1 or -2 to another player's next 2 dice rolls. A world event where 2-3 non-copyrighted sea monsters appear on random blue squares (typically making shortcuts harder to use as you oftentimes have to use the long route to get a Chance Chest).-Optionally, you can play a little dice game to try to beat the monsters by ending a turn in a tile surrounding the monster. On your turn, both you and the monster roll a dice, you must roll a total of 4 greater than the monster. Add your dice roll and subtract the monster's roll, the sum value is persistent as long as you engage with the monster. Thus if you roll a 3 and the monster rolls a 6, your sum is (0)+3-6=-3 for this turn. On your next turn, if you roll a 6 and the monster rolls a 1, the sum is now (-3)+6-1=2... This will continue for as long as your ship is within one tile around (including diagonally) a monster at the end of your turn.-1 or -2 on your next 2 dice rolls. And other things like what is described above. That is all of the detail that I can remember at this time. That was 2 years ago.
