This is a cover sleeve for an SMA to BNC RF connector adapter. SMA connectors are common on many Chinese-made handheld radios; many people choose to add a BNC adapter to make the radio compatible with common mobile antennas--but then the original antenna won't fit. Adding an SMA-BNC adapter to the antenna is the logical solution, to avoid having the change the connector on the radio all the time. The trouble is, the adapter on the antenna end can become subject to a lot of strain. Adding this sleeve helps distribute the strain, hopefully saving the connectors. It is deliberately a tight fit, and printed in TPU so it will stretch a little. It is designed for the Anytone 878 and its stock antenna. It will probably work with other radios as well, but check the fit carefully: it is vitally important that all the connectors seat fully, otherwise the radio may be damaged.
