Bunny and Bear Short Ears Extruder capability for Prusa MK2.5 and MK2.5S printers. You can use the Short Ears extruders with one of these kits, depending on your printer model. Prusa MK2.5 users can choose to upgrade to the Short Ears used in MK3 printers. In contrast, Prusa MK2.5S users already have BNBSX Short Ears for MK3S, which means you don't need any parts from this kit. To get started with both models, you'll need a few essential components. For Both MK2.5 and MK2.5S - BNB Universal X-Carriage Check out the BNB Universal X-carriage on Thingiverse for more information on using it: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3610593 MK2.5 Specific Instructions You can upgrade your Prusa MK2.5 to the BNB Short Ears MK3 Extruder by substituting two parts from this package into the extruder. These two parts are needed only for the MK2.5 and position the PINDA in the rearward position expected on the MK2.5. To complete the upgrade, follow the remainder of the instructions from the Bunny and Bear Short Ears MK3 Extruder on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3606189 Important Note: The MK2.5 cannot use the BNBSX MK3S Short Ears Extruder due to differences in filament sensors. MK2.5S Specific Instructions Your Prusa MK2.5S already has a more modern extruder configuration, including an MK52 heat bed and PINDA position. However, you still need to add an x-stop block on the x-carriage, which is included with the BNB Universal X-carriage. The BNBSX Short Ears MK3S Extruder is designed specifically for your printer model. Use this extruder in combination with the BNB Universal X-carriage. Important Note: The MK2.5S cannot use the BNB Short Ears MK3 Extruder due to differences in filament sensors. General Notes Once you've upgraded to the Short Ears extruders, both MK2.5 and MK2.5S can accept Mosquito and Volcano Compatibility Kits designed by the bunnies for Short Ears extruders. However, keep in mind that your MK2.5/S is a 12-volt system. Use an appropriate voltage/wattage heater cartridge in your Mosquito or Volcano hot end, or use separate 24-volt power and MOSFET.
