Hello everyone, we have a custom-made speaker shelf specifically designed for the BMW Mini Cooper. The idea behind this project was to create a set of three pieces that can be used as speaker grilles or covers for 6-inch speakers. To achieve this, I designed the three pieces with grooves and slots, allowing you to install EL wire within them and enjoy a cool glowing effect at night. These prints are quite large, and I utilized my 3D Touch printer, which is capable of producing big prints. Unfortunately, I made the design using Archicad, so I'm unable to share the model directly. However, please note that Archicad can export files in various formats, including 3Ds. If you're interested, I can provide a 3Ds file for you to import into Google SketchUp and continue from there. Keep in mind that it doesn't look impressive during the day, but at night, it's truly eye-catching. Many drivers slow down to take a peek inside their cars to see what this unique feature is. As an avid car enthusiast, I couldn't resist creating something special for my vehicle. I'm excited to share more car-related projects soon, including a potential design for a pipe that can be used to insert a sports air filter into the engine bay, disguised as a plastic turbocharger. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please let me know! Remember to have fun and explore the possibilities of 3D printing. Instructions: I designed this speaker shelf in Archicad, using my skills as an architect. I modeled it in three pieces to accommodate large prints on my 3D Touch printer.
