BMW M57 Engine - Air Intake Adaptor

BMW M57 Engine - Air Intake Adaptor

thingiverse

My friend Mo Murphy asked me to design this adaptor between the Air Intake on a BMW M57 Engine and a 3" Silicone hose - to fit in his Land Rover. Feel free to do what you wish with the design, commercial or otherwise - but it would be nice if you left the embossed 'Murphy' as it was Mo's original idea and basic paper design. I just drew it on Solidworks & printed it! I've printed it in PAHT-CF (Carbon filled Polyamide) on a Bambu Lab X1-Carbon printer. It would probably work just as well in any high temperature material - ABS, HIPS, PC etc. The PAHT-CF is just what I had. I will (obviously) need supports. Including support, it took 12h to print. I might consider reducing the wall thickness a little. At the moment it's 3mm. The original intake part was 2.5. However, it's not bad.
