The BMW F650GS Dakar 2001 side stand has a design flaw. The stand has the same length as the regular BMW F650GS, but as the Dakar version has a larger front wheel and is slightly higher, the side stand is too small for it and the bike tilts a lot when you put it on the stand. Furthermore, the foot is too small so you cannot park the bike on a soft surface. This attachment solves both problems and has been in use now for almost four years without problems. Make sure the washers and bolts and nuts are made of stainless steel so they will not rust!
