BMW E60 E61 Schweinwerfer Be-/Entlüftung Tülle / Headlight Ventilation Grommet
thingiverse
On Bi-Xenon headlights of BMW E60/E61 there are 2 critical grommets for venilation on each headlight. If they are lost or damaged (specially the outer ones) it's likely that you get huminity or even fluid water in your headlights. Print them with TPU to use them and applicate some silicone fat. There are also other possible reasons like the "eyebrows" light sockets in the headlights as described by Hella (https://www.hella.com/techworld/de/bi/BMW-E60-Scheinwerfer-Betauung-9586/) but these grommets are at least one possible part of the puzzle. Update: I found the original form a bit hard to print so I updated it a little bit thickening the exiting tube and enlagring the support there. You'll find that in the second design. Best print it standing on the flange without any supports. Use the highest possible temperature for your TPU fillament (I do use sunlu TPU 190-210°C so I used 210°C) and use round about half your usual PLA print speed (for me it was around 1500mm/min). Increase your Extrusion-Multiplikator by roughly 5-10%. No need for heated bed. I printed with raft even though that's not needed.
