BMR-600 APC (Spanish)
thingiverse
The BMR-600 is a Spanish wheeled armored personnel carrier that has seen service on several UN operations, and remains in active use with the Spanish Army. It's an intriguing vehicle, and this is a 1:76 scale model based on a 3D skin model by I.J. Q. from the SketchUp library, to whom my gratitude goes. This model required a substantial amount of work, as many elements were too fine to print in this scale, and the wheel area was incomplete. I also modified several elements to ensure that the model accurately represented vehicles I've seen in photographs, so the result differs slightly from the SketchUp picture, but should be closer to the actual APC. I believe this model will now print well, although the racks can be tricky - I have provided versions with kit included which may prove easier to manufacture. The main hull is split to optimize the print positioning, but can easily be fused if necessary. The wheels appear a bit flat, but are actually correct as far as I can determine. I've enlarged the nuts so that they print. The turret gun can also be tricky, and you might want to print at a higher resolution. Again, my thanks go out to Microsoft and AutoCAD for their exceptional CAD programs. I hope this model is of interest! Enjoy! Loaded wheel without collar to match latest hull...
