The BM-T, a heavily armored personal carrier, originated in Russia as a military innovation. Specifically designed to transport flamethrower units equipped with RPO-A portable flamethrowers, it provides heavy-duty fire support for infantry and tank formations, aiming its attacks squarely at reinforced fortifications. Initially adopted by the Russian Army in 2001, despite an absence of large-scale production runs, a limited number of BM-T carriers have been successfully produced to date.
