BMG DualDrive Filament Guide
thingiverse
At least my BMG copy has a nearly 2mm gap between the secondary gear and the extruder body (check out the photo). This lets the filament jam if its tip is even slightly misaligned. This add-on part fills up the gap, keeping the filament moving in one direction only. You can glue it with cyanoacrylate. - Lay down some filament (a bit of oil stops it from sticking to the extruder). - Glue the piece into the extruder body so that the filament passes through the slot, right next to the front wall.
