The racing Mini's engine components feature polished and lightened connecting rods fitted with PTFE-piston pin plugs as alternative circlip rings. These parts are crucial due to their performance at high RPMs (7000+), where traditional circlips can become dislodged, potentially damaging the engine beyond repair. Unfortunately, Hepolite Powermax 29050KR pistons and Glacier engine bearings are no longer available, necessitating alternative options for the project. To ensure structural integrity, a stress investigation was conducted using Z88 FEA-Tool with only the conrod as the subject.
