BLV mgn12 mod for Anet A8 / AM8 --- * The main purpose of this project is to transform your Anet A8 into a truly exceptional 3D printer, utilizing MGN12 rails firmly attached to an aluminum extrusion frame. * This upgrade is compatible with pheneeny's [AM8 mod](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2263216) with minor modifications. (Huge credit!) * Why mgn? MGN linear rail technology and Delrin Wheel Gantry are commonly used in many low-mid 3D printers as a cost-effective solution for linear motion. However, this cheaper replacement for MGN rails comes at the expense of accuracy and reliability. In contrast, linear guided rails (MGN rails) offer superior rigidity, extreme precision, and smooth operation compared to linear bearings or Delrin. With MGN rails, you can achieve higher printing speeds, reducing print time without compromising print quality. Moreover, by fixing the rails to the frame, unwanted motion related to bent threaded rods or other axis's movement is eliminated. It's no wonder why they're predominantly used in high-end 3D printers. I discovered [affordable Chinese MGN rails on Aliexpress](http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/b4ZT5JAu) and thought, "Why not?" IMPORTANT ---- Fixing the MGN rails can be a frustrating process. They need to be perfectly aligned and straight. Otherwise, it will cause unnecessary headaches, so don't start this project without ample patience. * Design flexibility and Source file I'm sharing with you the source file of this project to enhance the design and make it even better.
