This unique nose cone design was sparked by fellow rocket enthusiast, D.H., who showcased a hand-built rocket called the Lodestar III Heavy on the Estes Model Rockets Facebook group, featuring an identical nose cone. It is specifically tailored to fit Estes BT-50 airframe tubing. Feel free to scale it up or down using your CAD software of choice or slicer program. Enjoy experimenting! The design comprises two main parts: a removable nose cone and a detachable end cap that comes with a 3mm diameter hole for securing a screw eye. To add an extra layer of authenticity, I've included the original .stl file provided by D.H., who kindly shared his design as inspiration. A photo is also available showcasing the scratch-built rocket he created using his nose cone.
