I designed this jig specifically for BLUM concealed hinges that come in 35mm, but it can also work with other brands since they often share the same measurements except for one crucial detail: the hinge screw hole is usually positioned at the top or bottom, yet remains within a consistent horizontal distance of 45mm. Using this jig as a square allows you to draw precise lines that ensure proper alignment of the hinge. The jig takes advantage of the maximum allowed distance from the door edge, which is 6 mm, and none from the cabinet edge for the mounting plate. If you find yourself needing less than 6 mm, ice cream sticks make great spacers. When marking the position of holes, a pencil or an awl do the trick. To avoid confusion, I mark both the mounting holes and the 6mm distance on the visible side.
