Bluey's House
thingiverse
I built this birdhouse playhouse to fit in a medium-sized aviary. I printed the main House.stl at 0.3 mm, with multiple print processes (20% infill 0-30% height, 5% infill 30-70% height, 20% infill 70-100% height), 60mm/sec with custom supports created for optimal airflow. I printed the two parts for the sliding roof at 0.2 mm, with 10% infill to allow sunlight to filter through (I used Natural PLA for the roof). The design was scaled down to 90% of original size for all three components to fit my Wanhao i3 Plus print bed perfectly. I applied Earl's MulTFill filler on the outside walls followed by 400-grit sandpaper and acrylic paint (five coats) to give the playhouse a rich, painted wood finish. If you don't have a bird, this could also function as a unique nightlight.
