Bluetooth Intercom Mount

Bluetooth Intercom Mount

thingiverse

This item makes it possible to easily attach a Bluetooth motorcycle intercom to one of the widely available versions of the military Bowman headset (Elite II), enabling use of the intercom when not wearing a helmet. The Bluetooth unit slides into the unit and then onto the headset, secured with a piece of double-sided tape. Additional clips were experimented with but proved extremely difficult to print; double-sided tape was found to be easier. The OpenSCAD file is fully parametrized at the top for easy modification to suit different headsets and BT intercoms. The lip that the BT Intercom clips to has been deliberately made slightly oversized, resulting in a tight fit that prevents rattling when moving your head. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Geeetech Prusa i3 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: This is printed as per the .stl, with the square part of the unit facing down and a grid support touching the baseplate with a large (2mm) horizontal gap. Post-Printing: The aftermarket headsets use a microphone and speaker that are close enough to be compatible with the BT Intercom. However, you will need to replace the plug that comes with the headset with a 4-way 3.5mm plug. The adaptor fits tightly on the Bowman Elite II headsets but for added security, double-sided tape is applied to the flat rounded section of the headset.
