Blue2 Racer.. Lowpoly up.
pinshape
Inspired by my drawing: http://yzorg.deviantart.com/art/Blue-2-70195139 5th element, or the Immortal film... A lowpoly upload.. high poly only on PM request. The turbines are coming later and separately for optimal print orientation. I need to testprint them first. Feel free to implement the car in any game of yours. Just give me my credits. Printed in symmetrical halves directly using slicer software Cura for this... Coating process: I used two coats of 2K Carpaintfiller. (Polyurethane comes in a spray can) This stuff can add up to 2mm of coat thickness, so printlines vanish pretty fast but it can eat your details. For gluing, I used a thick epoxy paste after the first overall sanding (180-240 grit). Then I went on to sand all over with 320 grit and 500 grit. (Depending on the quality of your sanding paper you need to use water for sanding.) I should have put more effort into sanding. After the sanding, get the dust off. Generally important for paintjobs: Make sure no oil spray mist (like WD40 or PTFE spray) has been in the same room... this can severely lower the quality of your paintcoats. For best metallic effect adding about 2-3 as-light-as-possible coats of your chrome or silver. This makes sure the reflecting microparticles in the paint will lay flat on the surface, they won't if you add thick coats. After that, tint everything with a translucent ink colour. For intense glossiness I used a 2K glossy varnish spray can here I make thick coats about 2-3 layers... But attention... if you spray glossy varnish over a metallic effect paint it will get dull and ugly.
