Blue Unicorn Effector
thingiverse
Thanks for checking this out! This is an effector I designed specifically for my scratch-built delta printer known as the 'Blue Unicorn'. Although the effector ring can be easily disconnected at its magnetic joints for the rods, it can be further disassembled to enable reuse of the effector ring with different hot-ends. Keep an eye out for a dual extrusion setup that's in the works! There are two versions of this effector available. In version 2, the accessory mounts have been raised by approximately 5mm, providing a bit more clearance between the accessory and the part being printed. The spacing for the magnetic joints is set at 45mm center-to-center. Take a look at the parts list below to get an idea of what you'll need. All the non-printed parts required can be purchased on Aliexpress.com. **Effector Non-Printed Parts List:** 6 - M4 x8 hex head bolts 6 - 10mm threaded balls with M4 thread 3 - 8mm x 8mm Round Neodynium Magnets 60mm LED light ring Inductive Sensor (optional) **Hot-End Holder Non-Printed Parts List:** 3 - 8mm x 8mm Round Neodynium Magnets 4 - M3 x 5mm brass inserts 4 - M3 x 12mm Hex Head Bolts 1 - 40mm fan The assembly process is relatively straightforward. I think the only part that might give you pause is the light ring, which is currently being held in place with hot glue.
