Blue Tape Holder Bracket
thingiverse
For #3DPrintingDay 2016 I wanted to share some designs that have made my 3D printing easier. Most of all, it's about having a place for everything I use. Blue tape is one of those daily tools so let's make a home for it! This was the third or so iteration of this design, and I'm happy with where it stands so here you go! A few design aspects: With PLA, the bracket had a suitable bend to it. The angle braces keep the strength and stiffness while the center where the mounting screw goes does all the flexing. So be aware of this when you mount the bracket. Don't screw it in too tight: 1) because it's a 3D printed plastic part and you'll crack it, and 2) because you might want to play around with screw tightness. I found a nice middle ground where the bracket still bends but doesn't rotate when I remove or put back the tape. Happy #3dprinting! You could raise the resolution to .30 mm to print faster. It's a vertical build, not much lateral accuracy needed.
