3ds Max 2010 software integrates V-Ray 2.40.03 rendering capabilities. Users can export models in fbx format without textures or materials. The program's max file geometry includes disabled hair and fur modifier settings by default. A model measuring 100x100 centimeters is typically used for these exports. To achieve a more realistic render result, users should navigate to the Rendering - Effects tab before starting the rendering process. In this window, click on Hair and Fur, then select the mr prim mode from the dropdown menu. System units are set in millimeters by default. If a user intends to render the model as geometry only, it is recommended that they convert it into a proxy beforehand. Rendering in effect mode generally yields more realistic results compared to rendering in geometry mode.
