I love Wind Spinners! I got some Blue ABS in the mail today. I like how the two winged cardinal came out, so I designed the body of a Blue Jay. I can't wait until my Prusa Multi-media adapter arrives. Then I can better color the wind spinners.

The design uses two opposing sets of wings. The airfoils aim the opposite directions.

The support rods are pretty flimsy for heavy winds. I found some 6mm carbon rods that are much stiffer ( https://amzn.to/3hCsY4L )

Supplies:

Blue ABS filament ( https://amzn.to/2HkTlQg )

6mm carbon fiber rods ( https://amzn.to/3hCsY4L )

Premiere Kites ( https://amzn.to/2ZJbOfO )

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Print instructions

I printed the support rod and wing shaft at 100% infill. The other parts I printed at 15%. I used Acetone to glue the shaft, spacers, and end caps. Since I did not use support material for the main body, I had to ream out the holes with drill bits
