This is a BLTouch V3.1 Spacing Gauge for the Sovol3D SV-01 Printer Instructions: It is recommended that you measure your BLTouch mounted and installed without any added spacer. Then, using this Gauge or any method of your choice, measure the BLTouch tip to Nozzle Tip distance. Use that information to print a spacer that positions your BLTouch tip 3.3mm away from your Nozzle tip. Goal: Print a spacer to have the BLTouch Tip land on 3.3mm (The Tip must be between 2.3 and 4.3mm for Steps to function) Step 1: You May Heat your Nozzle for Best Results, but this can also be used cold for ease of use. Step 2: Place this Gauge onto your 3D Printers Table Step 3: Lower your Nozzle Tip onto the gauge's flat area while moving it around until slight resistance is felt (like leveling). Note: The Nozzle tip must be clean Step 4: Using the Gauges steps, find which step closely matches your current BLTouch Spacing. Step 5: Create a BLTouch Spacer using the information from Step 4 to bring the tip as close to 3.3mm as possible. Example: When using this gauge, if your BLTouch Tip is really close to the 5.3mm step then a 2mm BLTouch Spacer will get you very close to 3.3mm Example Photo: Shows Optimal BLTouch Tip Spacing after using gauge. Note: If the BLTouch Tip is sitting above the 4.3MM step, it may not function; please reprint your spacer to land onto 3.3mm step. Numbers listed are in MM. Background: The Included bracket sold with the BLTouch v3.1 may not work out of the box due to the hand formed bracket. Thus, a spacer is required to function correctly on the SOVOL3D SV-01.
