BLTouch pin holder for Craftbot Flow printers

Update 2020-12-13: I made the pin holder a bit tighter/shorter so that the pin can go a little bit more through the small hole. That way clearance between the wiper and the BLTouch pin can stay as it is. When removing the holder, press the sides, slide the top of the holder from the mounting screws and push the tip of the pin through the hole. *********************** This simple holder prevents the BLTouch pin from dropping down and getting ruined while printing. Some BLTouch sensors let the pin drop when heavy shaking of the printhead occurs. The reason can be that the pin and the grub screw that holds the pin are not magnetized properly, or that the grub screw is not adjusted properly. This is not the fault of the printer and not the fault of the slicer (as there is no G/M command to drop the pin, that is done by the firmware). To prevent the pin from dropping down, just slide this simple holder over the BLTouch sensor. Just press the sides of the holder and it will elongate so it fits over the BLTouch sensor. There is a tiny hole in the bottom where the pin should go. The holder does not need to be fixated, the screws of the BLTouch mounting will hold it. Use a bright colour so you don´t overlook the holder. Use PETG or a material that can withstand higher temperatures, as the holder is in the flow of the extruder fan. Google for tips on how to set the grub screw or how to magnetize the pin and grub screw. ********************** Please make sure there is enough clearance between the holder and the wiper strip. If not, either make the hole for the pin a bit bigger or adjust the height of the wiper strip. Don´t forget to take the holder off after the print, when you restart the printer or when you do mesh leveling / calibration! **********************
