Remix of the original Prusa i3 MK2 extruder body and cover. The problem that originally spurred this project was a hump in the bed, which I had been trying to resolve for some time. While waiting for my replacement bed from Prusa, I acquired a 2mm aluminum sheet and attached it to the heatbed using heat tape, placed a new PEI sheet over this, and minimized many of the issues I had been experiencing. A few spots still remained, but they were not bad enough to ruin the finish, although they were noticeable on larger prints. The other problem was that my PINDA probe was very close to the prints, about 1mm above, with a LiveZadjust setting of approximately 0.15. I had already broken the probe holder on a stray piece of PETG. Luckily, I was able to attach it long enough to print a replacement body. I am now looking to try a 1/8" piece of glass attached to the heatbed to see if that will fix the surface issues that I have been experiencing. A few weeks ago, I ordered a BLTouch probe and have been figuring out how to mount it, wire it, and what changes need to be made in the firmware. This is the first iteration of the mount, and I have not yet had the opportunity to mount it, as I still need to figure out the wiring and firmware side of things.
