This replacement fits on top of the blower scroll fan used to cool plastic parts after they leave the hot end. The original nozzle supplied with the printer served only as a plug for the fan and needed adhesive tape to hold it in place (see images). This piece takes the place of both clipped-on and screwed-in outer cover types on the fan. Before-and-after photos are provided in the images. Instructions 1. Print this object. 2. Remove the two screws holding the fan together, releasing them completely from their holders. 3. Carefully pry off the top cover of the fan at its outlet by freeing the three retaining clips as it starts to come apart. 4. Use both screws and clips to position the new nozzle correctly before fastening the object securely in place with screws. 5. Securely fasten the clips. You can access the OpenSCAD file that created this piece through my upload, where I have included detailed explanations of all main variables for easier reference. Due to its complexity, please refrain from requesting alterations as that would unnecessarily complicate things for everyone involved.
