Blower Control Unit (Arduino Based)
thingiverse
This project controls a booster fan installed in my furnace ducts for each room. The enclosure shown here is designed to mount over a standard 2x4 electrical box. This enclosure can be used for many additional projects. If interested, see my other project for the relay case which is controlled by this project. The enclosure holds the following hardware: 433 mHz receiver 2x16 LCD display DB-9 connector DHT11 Temperature/Humidity sensor Motion Sensor Arduino Pro-Mini (clone) Push button (reset switch) The receiver, temperature sensor, and Pro-Mini are friction mounted. The lcd and DB-9 connectors are screwed into place, and the motion sensor is glued in position. Seven loops have been added along the edge for wire management. Dimensions: 4.5 inches wide 5.5 inches tall 0.75 inches deep I built this using a PowerSpec 3D printer with PLA. I discovered that the interior of the enclosure needs to be painted black because the Arduino and LCD backlight illuminate the entire case. It may be possible to use black PLA instead, but it probably wouldn't look good in the room.
