I fabricated a blower body for a salvaged fan from an old NVIDIA card. To my surprise, the extremely small fan inside the blower body performs much better than the original 40mm stock fan. I can feel a noticeable airflow even at a distance of 20cm from the fan. I updated the STL files to correct surface issues and stitching problems. Update: I designed fins for the 40mm fan with damaged fins and successfully integrated them into the existing body. I created STL files for both clockwise (CW) and counterclockwise (CCW) fans, as most 40mm fans are CCW, but the salvaged video card fan was CW. The cap can be printed in either direction. To print new fins: remove the old damaged fins, sand the cylinder, and then print the fins with no brim, no raft, and no support. Use a layer height of 0.1-0.15mm for optimal results.
