This universal backplate fits Empire, Union, and General Foam models seamlessly. Two sets of holes are designed with varying spacings to accommodate different configurations. The central screw hole is specifically intended for attaching larger sockets featuring metal arms that connect directly to the backplate. Meanwhile, the dead-center hole with a thin plastic layer is ideal for installing C7 sockets equipped with clips - a personal preference as it allows for the use of Candelabra 40-watt bulbs in most cases, providing ample lighting within the mold while minimizing power consumption at approximately 0.38 amps. Additionally, a cord slot is incorporated to facilitate easy access when the light is mounted inside the mold and needs to be unplugged.
