Blorp Dragon

EDIT: I was having to scale up the print because It kept coming up in Cura super small, but ERICKDR 3D Designs did me a huge favor and fixed the files, saying that the files are originally reading as inches and the slicers are converting them to MM... so these should work much better now, and you can still scale them up however. (The files ending in FIXED) So after test printing a small army of Blorps here are some notes about what worked well for me.. If you're printing the one with the collar, my best print was around 5.5 inches (Could also be larger) so that his collar tag moves a little. (Scale for this was 360.56%) I had to rotate him about 3 degrees forward to get all 4 feet touching the build plate. Support note- I was getting issues with rough areas above the supports and had to lower the line height and temp a little bit to get more successful prints here. With a .4mm nozzle I was using .16mm line height. Temp depends on your filament. I use Cura, So I used: Tree supports-touching buildplate branch angle 40 Support overhang 55 The supports should be under his body and tail and reach up around the front of his neck to support his collar/tag, chin, and horns. IMPORTANT: His collar tag will be supported but will be between the support and his body so be cautious while removing supports from this area to not break off his tag. Because his feet do not have much surface area touching the buildplate, I chose to use a raft with a 5mm extra margin. This is up to you, because he does also have the supports. Its my personal preference. I used 3 or 4 walls during my tests with 10% Lightning (support) Infill. He's mostly hollow but still pretty solid as far as the walls. I like that he has the solidity and doesn't take incredibly long to print this way, but this part is all up to you. I mostly just wanted to conserve filament during all of my tests. (Feel free to leave a tip and I'll buy more filament to test more models lol xD ) If you do print him please share him with me! You can tag me on Tiktok @mamaxmoon I'd love to see your Blorp!!
