Bloomington Asphalt
thingiverse
A 4-inch asphalt plug was discovered on a highway near Bloomington, Indiana, USA. This sample may be tested to ensure the road's durability compliance. The aggregate is likely Mississippian-aged fine limestone, while the cement is asphalt. Using a MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner in "Dark" mode, I scanned the plug; however, it seems the model struggles to differentiate between aggregate and cement color-wise.
