I fell deeply in love with this artwork by KohLJ at kheljay.artstation.com/projects/DnOKe. Immediately, I began crafting a printable figure for tabletop gaming. The character stands proudly on a 50mm diameter base and is scaled perfectly for 28mm gaming. He's quite tall, approximately 48mm, but he's truly special. I started working on this project in October, meticulously gathering bits and pieces from various sources to create the perfect mix of characters. I cut and remixed 3D models that I then resculpted into unique pieces. Some parts were entirely created from scratch, such as the lance, shoulderpads, pelt robes, crown, and armor details. I extend my sincerest gratitude to all members of the 40k Makers Discord community for their unwavering support. A special shoutout goes to Valandar for his invaluable tips on sculpting flames. The wings from xiaoxunyue2016 are truly breathtaking and fit flawlessly with this magnificent character. I simply had to create a few additional pieces to complete the design. Throughout this process, I used Meshmixer to bring my vision to life. Although I learned many new techniques along the way, I acknowledge that some areas may not be perfect – but hey, it's a free model! I apologize if I inadvertently failed to credit any source models; there are so many different ones that I'm afraid I've forgotten. To confirm, I printed a prototype using FDM with a 0.25mm nozzle and 0.08mm layers, and the results are astounding – wings are currently being printed as we speak! Future updates will include: * Wings without cherubs: done * Classic boots (no bird toes): done * No mask with angelic face * No mask with serious face On December 22nd, I added a bare face version with and without tiara, using a smaller head. On December 18th, I updated the body to feature a smaller head. On December 19th, I created a split version for wings (with and without cherubs) as well as empty hands for customization purposes. On December 28th, I added a right hand equipped with a shield. Finally, on January 7th, I introduced a version of legs with regular boots. Note that the armor parts will likely be updated in early 2019 to resemble power armor more accurately. Glory to the Emperor and may the "angel" rest in peace!
