The Mark I steering wheel concept features guarded toggles for lighting and powering down the engine on its left and right sides respectively. A red LED light is positioned next to the light engine toggle, illuminating when the engine is lit and turning off upon shutdown. On the right-hand side, a yellow thrust button is present with a yellow LED indicator that lights up when pressed, providing visual feedback on the level of thrust. The left hand features green Air Brake and blue Main Chute buttons, while the right hand has a dark blue Backup Chute button. Pressing the backup chute necessitates removing the finger from the thrust button, as it is only to be used in emergencies. The steering wheel's form mirrors the vehicle's outline shape obtained from the sponsor website, providing a visually appealing design that complements its function. Lastly, a center hole is left empty in case mounting hardware for the steering collar is required, centered around the wheel's mass.
