Evan Mendoza created a luxury steering wheel inspired by Lamborghini, designed for Bloodhound's driver. The steering wheel features essential buttons like "Rocket Ignition" and "Close Rocket," within easy reach of the hand. To help the driver with sequence of tasks and speeds at which they need to be performed, Mendoza added information directly on the wheel - including the sequences for deploying airbrakes, chutes, and controlling rocket power. The Formula One-inspired transmission shifters are used for airbrake, chute 1, and chute 2 controls, with illumination to help the driver remember which task has been completed. The design also includes a top-right section for rocket power buttons to prevent accidental presses, and the Bloodhound logo on the center of the wheel completes the look.
