Bloodhound SSC Steering Wheel Challenge

The objective is to break the land speed record with SSC Bloodhound safely. To achieve this feat, user-friendly and secure equipment is essential at such high speeds. My proposed design features an intuitive steering wheel inspired by emergency procedures for stopping industrial machinery. The straight handles have ergonomic grips, discouraging turns at these speeds, while pictograms on the handles and dashboard aid in understanding button functions. On the left handle, a trigger shuts down the rocket, while the right handle triggers lighting and power increase. Dashboard controls include a button for deploying airbrakes on the left, a radio button for staying connected with technical staff, an emergency backup button to deploy chutes centrally, and a button to deploy brake chutes currently in use, with an additional function below it. A display shows crucial information like speed, temperature, and technical data. Enjoy!
