Block or Brick Power Supply Adapter Mounting Bracket

The openSCAD script offers a customizable mounting bracket for use with rectangular brick or block style power adapters, commonly employed with laptops and small electronics. This bracket can be prepared to accommodate either a lay-flat configuration or an upright, on-edge positioning of the power adapter. A top-level geometry section allows users to specify their preferred openSCAD output. Two components are provided: one serves as a wrap-around for the power adapter and the second component functions as a base. The wrap component can be configured with a closed bottom for a low-profile mount or an "open" bottom, allowing it to be "sprung" over a cabled power adapter. Using the base component in this scenario helps stabilize the open-bottom wrap component during mounting. The base component also increases the gap available for convection airflow cooling between the power adapter and the mounting surface. A sample STL file has been included for mounting a 55mm x 34mm power adapter in a lay-flat orientation. It is intended that users tailor the openSCAD source to their specific application, rather than utilizing this particular STL file. Typically, two brackets are used to mount an adapter. This script is a remix of my Inateck FE3001 Hard Disk Drive Enclosure Mounting Bracket available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2662310. The adaptation involves modifying the size parameters and applying a different method to form the wrap component. REV A corrects an error in make_base, ensuring that mounting holes are properly spaced when WRAP_WALL_THICK and WRAP_MTAB_THICK differ. REV B addresses other issues with the wrap component when WRAP_MTAB_THICK exceeds WRAP_WALL_THICK.
