block compatible hand crank
thingiverse
Crank arm designed to attach securely to a cross-shaped axle made from a popular four-letter plastic building block. With proper assembly, the handle rotates smoothly on an M3 screw without any sign of binding. A SCAD file is included, allowing users to customize the crank arm length and handle as desired. It took several trials and adjustments to perfect the fit between the "+" shaped socket and the axle. The socket now fits snugly with a comfortable level of friction, but may require additional fine-tuning for optimal performance on different printers. Note that this file has been optimized for use with a UM2 printer running PLA at 20 mm/s and 223 C, and may need adjustments to achieve a perfect fit with other printing setups.
