Block and Tackle - Pulleys
thingiverse
This project originated from my son's 1st grade science fair idea on block and tackle. Instead of purchasing supplies, I decided to print them myself, refining the design multiple times before creating four full assemblies. The double sheaves could have been improved with separate thin ones, but friction was minimal. Wooden dowels (1/4") support hooks, eyes, and sheaves within side plates. You can choose hook or eye ends. Assemble per drawing after printing; light sanding may be needed. Initially, screws weren't used, but later added for extra stability. Be cautious while drilling dowel ends to avoid finger injury. Use 1/8" nylon rope and follow pictures for guidance, lifting objects as intended.
